Chevy
Chase Collision Center has more than 68 years'
experience and has grown to be one of the largest collision repair
shops in Montgomery County.
We have the
facilities and the trained staff necessary to get your vehicle into the
shop quickly, and then back on the road, good as
new.

Who
pays for my repairs?
Your insurance
company may issue you a check, or they may pay Chevy Chase Collision
Center directly for the repairs to your vehicle. If the check is made
payable only to you and/or your spouse, you will be able to sign the
original insurance check over to Chevy Chase Collision Center while
your vehicle is in our shop, or once repairs are complete. If your
insurance company issues the check to you, examine it closely. Your
name may not be the only one on the check; your lien or leaseholder may
also be named. It is your responsibility to have the lien or
leaseholder endorse this check. Chevy Chase Collision Center can assist
you in collecting the information and paperwork your lien or
leaseholder may need in order to endorse your check. It is the policy
of Chevy Chase Collision Center that a vehicle may not be released
until payment is received from either the insurance company or the
customer.
What happens if I find additional
damages to my car?
Typically,
the original estimate will only include visible damage. Once the
vehicle is in for repair, hidden damages may be discovered. This is
typical for most repairs, due to the complexity of today's vehicles.
Chevy Chase Collision Center will work direcly with your insurance
company, should supplemental damages be found. In most cases, Chevy
Chase and your insurance company will work together to ensure that your
car is restored to its pre-accident condition. Occasionally, however,
Chevy Chase Collision Center may need your assistance with supplemental
needs. Supplemental damage, which is above and beyond the original
estimate in many cases, will be billed directly to your insurance
company.
How long will it take to repair my
car?
When
you bring your car in for repair, Chevy Chase Collision Center will
project a target date for completion of the repairs. The estimated cost
of repairs determines the length of time the repairs will take. The
industry standard formula for this estimate is one week of repair time
for every one-thousand dollars of damage. However, other factors may
serve to extend this projected date, including the complexity of
repairs, unforeseen delays caused by the discovery of additional
damage, problems associated with the availability and compatibility of
parts, further red tape from your insurance company, and the current
workload of the shop. Other outside delays may increase the time it
takes to properly repair your vehicle. Again, Chevy Chase Collision
Center will give you a target time frame, but we are unable to
guarantee a specific delivery date.
How do I get a
rental?
Most
insurance policies allow thirty days or less of rental car coverage. In
some cases, the repairs will take longer than your rental coverage
allows. Some policies do not entirely cover the daily fee to rent a
car. Please be prepared to assume the rental car cost above and beyond
your policy restrictions. Unfortunately, we do not have loaner
cars.
What warranty do I get?
All
of our repairs are backed by a written warranty. Please feel free to
contact any of our friendly staff members for additional information.
